Effluent & Environmental Systems

Wastewater treatment, Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) chemical optimization, biological seeding, and DENR compliance solutions.

DENR Standards Compliance

Industrial discharges in the Philippines must meet strict regulatory compliance standards set by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR DAO 2016-08 and 2021-19). Out-of-compliance discharge results in heavy operational penalties or cease-and-desist orders.

Kemique provides technical engineering assessments and chemical supply programs to balance BOD, COD, TSS, oil & grease, and surfactant metrics.

Bio-Enzymatic Culturing

Concentrated dry spore bacterial blends designed to rapidly degrade organic wastes, fats, oil, grease, and surfactants in aeration lagoons. Promotes healthy sludge settlement and decreases BOD.

Coagulation & Flocculation

High-charge cationic and anionic polymers alongside polyaluminum chloride (PAC) blends to accelerate chemical settling of suspended solids and heavy metals.

Filtration Media & Physical Buffers

We supply and install replacement media layers, including premium iodine-value activated carbon, manganese greensand, silica sand, and water softeners resins. These systems act as essential physical polishing steps before final effluent discharge.

Regulatory Targets

Typical DENR standards for Class C receiving bodies:

BOD₅ limit: < 50 mg/L
COD limit: < 100 mg/L
TSS limit: < 70 mg/L
Oil & Grease: < 5 mg/L

Field Report #304

Cebu Food Processing Zone

Problem: High COD discharge penalty threat due to fat and surfactant build-up in aeration tanks.
Action: Introduced bi-weekly biological enzyme seeding and optimized surface skimmer controls.
Result: BOD fell by 62%, COD maintained under 85 mg/L. Full compliance achieved.
